We can share with you the best places to sit with your shoulders against a small waterfall effect in the Inverie River (15 mins walk) of for the more ambitious visit the Falloch waterfalls about 60 mins walk from us. Swimming in the Inverie River is crystal clear, cool and serene with some wild iris, riverbank flowers and the of stag for company. Its a perfect picnic spot and has shallow entry points so you can stand, swim, float, dream or go for full immersion in the morning Wim Hoff Style!
Bliss out in Loch Dubh Lochan (1 hours walk) if you fancy a wee low level walk first also the Follach with the waterfall is a good swimming hole surrounded by mountains and wilderness.
For sea lovers the river flows out to Loch Nevis and there are too many good spots to mention. You can go warrior style straight in off the pier in the village, wade out slowly from the beach in Inverie Village or enter from many points around the coast. The tearoom has the remnants of an old pier slip out front that is a popular spot to ease yourself in if early morning quick dips for cold water therapy close to home are in mind.
Its only an 8 minute walk to the sea from here for you, so if you are a seasoned wild swimmer or dipping your toe in for the first time your in the perfect location. You have the luxury of the hot tub (40 degrees) to look forward to on your return.
