Main access to Inverie is by boat across Loch Nevis from Mallaig or a long walk overland from Loch Arkaig or Kinlochhourn, Shiel Bridge or Cluanie Inn also from Glenfinnan. Knoydart is designated as a National scenic Area.

For first hand walking routes you can purchase detailed walking guides of the area prepared by The Knoydart Foundation Rangers, offering first hand information on getting to in and out of Knoydart. The Knoydart Foundation Rangers are here to show you the hidden corners and stunning landscapes of the Knoydart peninsula. They offer a range of low level short walks and through which you can learn about the iconic wildlife and the turbulent history. They also offer a fascinating insight into life in Knoydart since the Foundation bought the land in 1999 latest walk information is always available for your stay at Knoydart House.

Munro Bagging from Inverie
Ladhar Bheinn circular (10 to 12 hours). Meal Bhuidhe and Luinne Bheinn circular (11 to 14 hours). All 3 Inverie Munros in a day (for athletic hill walkers only). All Munro Bagging Walks require you to arrange your own accommodation in Knoydart
Inverie Three Package
2 days guiding over a period of 3 days – A great option if wanting to bag the 3 Inverie Munros with the flexibility of choosing the best weather and option of a rest day in between the 2 big mountain days. Available for ½ day to 4-day adventures.

The Ranger Service hosts a year long programme of short walks to suit all abilities and ages. If your tempted to stretch your legs a bit further than the lovely shoreline walks Inverie has to offer you can book Not About The Summit’s Lee Anderson to guide you through the munros, tarbets and or corbetts.They also do some great short walks between boats and the walk “Knoydart in a Knutshell” gives you a taste of the landscape, wildlife and history in a nutshell.
