The House

Knoydart House was built maximising use of natural light, loch views and natural resources. Our talented craftsman being no stranger to wood,  a tall-ship builder at heart created Knoydart House with uninterrupted views across Loch Nevis.

The under floor heating gently warms our warm, pale-earth-toned Italian tiles on the ground floor. The Studio Room which is an annexe of Knoydart House is complete with a comfortable and cosy superking bed with 4 foot headboards and crisp white linen fit for an Egyptian queen!  Gorgeous handpicked soft furnishings with our romantic ciel de lit canopy bed and theatrical drape curtains are just some of the touches that set this luxury Scottish accommodation apart.

Our boat-building craftsman took the concept of a Scottish cottage in Knoydart and expanded it, transforming our ideas into the spectacular Knoydart House and now we are thrilled to offer Knoydart House Studio Room, which is  a completely self contained self catering offering with separate entrance and exit and french doors out on your own balcony area off the main house for unrivalled luxury self catering accommodation on the remote Knoydart Peninsula just for two.

Furnishings are a mix of old and new. Italian glass light fittings alongside a gloss cream kitchenette area with induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, Nespresso magimix coffee / latte machine, breadmaker and more. Denby dinnerware and other kitchen essentials make your stay super easy, with a selection of cookery books for when the culinary mood takes you. And our outdoor furniture mean alfresco dining on the wraparound decking overlooking the loch under the milky way!

Knoydart House has won numerous awards and accolades being a Conde Nast property and featuring in The Travel Show, Scottish Field, Homes and Interiors, The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Scotsman, The Times, Lux magazine  and until very recently was a large self catering award winning designer lodge sleeping 10. We are thrilled to be able to offer the Studio Room out as an exclusive offering for two guests looking for a special Knoydart escape, while the main house with separate entrance and exit from the Studio Room, is now our family home.
